The Zeiss LSM 880 is inverted confocal laser scanning microscope with Airyscan. This system is equipped with a unique scan head, incorporating a high-speed galvo scanner along with two PMTs and a 32 channel GaAsP-PMT area detector as well as a transmitted light PMT for DIC imaging. In addition, the Airyscan detector provides sub-diffraction limited imaging down to 140 nm (XY) and 400 nm (Z) resolution.
Light source: Halogen lamp for bright-field microscopy, mercury lamp (X-Cite series 120 PC) for direct visualization of fluorescent specimens through the eyepiece
Fluorescence Filters cube for eyepiece viewing DAPY, FITC (green), DsRed, and Polarization
Laser Lines: Diode 405nm, Argon (458, 488, 514 nm), DPSS 561 nm, HeNe 633nm
