The Loustaunau Graduate Travel Fellowship for Computational Genomics offers Carl R. Woese Insitute for Genomic graduate researchers the opportunity to attend professional development activities.
This program will provide current graduate students conducting research in or using computational genomics with an IGB-affiliated faculty member up to $1,500 to support professional development activities such as travel to scientific conferences to present their research, participation in training workshops and other technical meetings to further their training. This fellowship is made possible through a generous gift from Drs. Martha Oehmke Loustaunau and Joaquin O. Loustaunau.
Eligibility Requirements
- Recipient must be registered in a graduate program and in good standing at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- Recipient may receive only one award per academic year and only one per conference.
- Funds must be used by December 31, 2022.
- Applications must be received by March 22, 2021. All the application materials must be submitted by noon Central Time on the application closing date. Recipients will be contacted on or around April 9, 2021.
