All red bag waste must be autoclaved at 250F/121C for a minimum of 60 minutes

• Use an approved autoclavable bag
• Pack loosely to avoid air pockets that will prevent steam saturation
• Don’t overpack or overfill the bag
• Prepare to autoclave when the bag is 75% full
• Place the bag in a leak-proof tray (Nalgene or metal)
